What Do Our Clients Say About Us?
Very helpful and knowledgeable about the considerations of my specific bankruptcy issues, and sensitive to the fact that there is a whole complex of factors of which bankruptcy and debts are only a part.
Asked all the right questions to elicit info about my debts, assets, tax situation, possible resolution of debts without bankruptcy. Gave helpful advice about possible complications. Identified probable costs assuming nothing unexpected or more complicated than I described.
Very sensitive demeanor to the fact that these are difficult subjects for me to discuss. Definitely I’m going to the in-person consultation.
It’s been a year since I filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy and it was the best move I made. The word bankruptcy is a scary word but these guys will help you through it and at the end you’ll also see that it was a good move for you as well. The whole process was pretty simple, very straight forward, hassle free. Trust me it’s better than getting those annoying credit card company phone calls everyday. I would recommend anyone who’s going through financial problems to think about getting it resolved with Shaev and Fleischman.
Mr. Fleischman was very patient and listened to all my concerns regarding possibly filing for bankruptcy, As a senior citizen I had some questions as to my social security. pension and IRA. He talked me through what to expect and eased my fears.
Mr. Shaev put me at ease, answered all my questions and made a difficult decision that much easier. I was treated with dignity and respect. The staff was responsive and helpful. What started out as a stressful situation, was made easier. I would recommend this firm to anyone considering bankruptcy.
I had a little hiccup with Sallie Mae, Navient, and Windham that could have potentially turned into a huge nightmare. However, with some expert advice through a one hour consultation from Jay, and I’ve ironed things out. Best money spent!

Shaev and Fleischman is an outstanding firm. I did a great deal of research before choosing a firm, and they were recommended by several of my contacts. The numerous recommendations from my contacts as well as from various lawyers in the field (outside of NY) are certailnly warranted. From the initial phone consultation, to my in person meetings with Mr. Fleschman and then Mr. Shaev, to the handling of my documents by Ms. Devery, esq., the service I have received has been comprehensive, empathetic, and efficient. My numerous questions were answered honestly and thoughtfully, and clear understandable descriptions of the law and procedures were given. Additionally, everyone at the firm has communicated status/next steps and followed-thorugh in a timely manner. I truly appreciate the people and services at this firm; my anxieties (surrounding my circumstances and the process of addressing my predicament) have been greatly abated. I recommend Shaev and Fleischman without any hesitation whatsoever.
Jay is extremely knowledgeable, articulate and caring. However, I was most impressed with his unique approach to sharing legal advice which manifests a conscious and obvious effort not to waste your time or resources. Contrast that to the more typical approach which is oblivious to draining your wallet. Both ethically sound, but which would you prefer.
